A total of 23 new rugby uniforms were donated to the Saleapaga rugby club by local company Business Systems Limited (BSL).

The presentation was done at the business’ main store at Taufusi recently.

The Saleapaga club’s manager, Fiu Luteru thanked BSL for their generous support for the need of new uniforms for their team.

“We are truly grateful that BSL has answered our call for help, and we accept such a beautiful uniform that will be used for our team.

“We have just started a partnership with BSL and we acknowledge their support of our local players because there is great talent but not enough support.

“Our club has more than 20 players and we will use these well,” he said.

BSL customer service manager, Leeroy Feaunati spoke on behalf of Tiufea and Meilani Meredith who are the owners of BSL and presented the donation.

“We hope to provide services not only through education but also supporting the development of local sports in Samoa.

“The new uniforms are colored green which is BSL’s theme color, and it represents our environment.

“It is with our beliefs that with this assistance it can contribute in improving the skillset of our local players - we try to help our people through various villages and clubs that request assistance from our company,” he said.

He also added that because rugby is our country’s main sport, it is one of the reasons why they gave a helping hand.

“It is because we truly believe that our people are very talented and they need help.

“The total cost of the uniforms are around $5,000.”
