Students attending government-run schools will also get a portion of a $14 million tala Government assistance to private, mission and early-childhood learning educational institutions.

This was confirmed by the Minister of Education, Sports and Culture (MESC), Loau Solamalemalo Keneti Sio, while speaking to the media yesterday.

The funding assistance that was announced last week for the private, mission and early childhood learning schools will also include government-run schools.

Loau stated that the assistance was given by the Government to assist the education system, due to it being a priority for the Government.

He also added that the Government’s investment in education is to promote quality education. It has been two years since the Government funded the One Government Grant, which was previously supported by the New Zealand and Australian governments.
