Police moving forward in war against drugs

The Police is making huge inroads in the war against drugs thanks to public assistance. 

One recent public tip off led to the arrest of a couple on Friday. 

According to a statement from the Police, a search warrant for possession of narcotics was executed. 

The Police uncovered “numerous marijuana seeds, leaves and branches”. 

The case has not yet concluded as the Police Investigation continues. 

“The couple is a 47-year-old male and a 50-year-old female from the southern side of Upolu Island.” 

Another drug arrest was made last week. 

“On Friday last week the 29th of September 2017, the police have also arrested and charged a 43-year-old male for possession of narcotics namely marijuana cigarettes at the northern side of Upolu Island.” 

The accused is remanded in custody until the 16th of October 2017, before appearing in court for criminal mention.

The press statement also acknowledges the continuous support of the public.
