He wants access to electricity.

Many will find it surprising that  Mr. Mosiula lives about fifteen minutes from the Apia Township, yet he does not have access to electricity.

“It’s not a bad thing to not have electricity but in my case, we need it,” he told the Village Voice.

“In this whole area, there are no electric poles and there are no power lines so that’s why it’s difficult for us to make this happen.

“Our house is in a forest, far away from town, from everyone and we do need electricity for the basic reason of having proper lighting.

“We want the use of electricity for so many things but I think the main reason is so we can install lights because we are staying in a very dark area, as you can see our house is basically situated in a hole.

“I have children and I feel they need lights when it comes to doing their homework at night time.

Mr. Mosiula said he already spoke to their faipule (Member of Parliament) about them needing electricity and he told them he would be contacting the Electric Power Corporation on their behalf on this matter.

“We are now just patiently waiting for everything to work out.

“We used to stay at Falelauniu tai before moving here, but we haven’t had access to electricity ever since we got here.

“So to me, this is an obstacle for our family and it’s one of the things that do stress us out sometimes you know.

“We need to have access to electricity, we really need it.

“I wish things were easy as before, you know as it was back then.

“Back then you didn’t need to worry about things like this but we all know life goes on and as it does,  changes comes with it and people need to adapt to those changes as well.”
