A father and son have vowed to recommend Samoa to potential visitors when they return to their home in the Australian state of New South Wales.

Daryl Wilson and Sydney Wilson said their family have enjoyed their time in Samoa, saying it had the perfect environment to relax.

"This country has so many good things to offer, the people are really friendly and very helpful, in fact this is heaven on earth," said Mr Wilson Junior, who travelled over to also celebrate his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife. "We've been around the whole island with the help of our tour guide we got to learn about Samoa's culture and we had the chance to go fishing and we caught a big tuna.”

Mr Wilson Senior expressed similar sentiments and added that he noticed a marked difference between Samoans and people he meets in Australia.

"One time, we were around somewhere, a lady fell and we saw how the people around her came and helped her to her feet, it was amazing," he said.

The father and son also love Sam Choo Koon's music and had the chance to see him perform live before taking photos with him.

Having been in the country for four days, Mr Wilson Senior said if there was a place he would recommend, it would be the fish market.

"I also recommend that Samoa pushes their fish market because there is a lot of money there, the fish tuna that we caught cost $1.5million tala in the Japanese market," he added.
