It was a night of entertainment at the Light the World on Tuesday night as professional artists Vince Harder and Stan Walker took to the stage their music.

The duo had been to Samoa a couple of years ago but for the first time performed for the crowd at the Craig’s residence, Ululoloa.

“My first time here was actually a few years ago, same for Stan, and it’s just such a blessing to be here,” Harder said.

“For me it is basically great to come back home – I’m Samoan, my parents are born here and brought up here, so it’s just nice to be able to come back and to be able to share my gifts here, and be part of the Light World.

“Looking around the place, they have done such an amazing job in lighting it up and you know with the Craig family, they are giving back to the community, so yes it just an honour to be a part of that.”

Stan, who is based in New Zealand, shared about his love for the islands and how it just gives him peace being in Samoa.

“This is just beautiful, to see the islands put on something like this, it’s so beautiful, it’s so prestigious, high-quality, it’s not like what people usually expect.

“Just to be here, be a part of this and be with my bro, it’s perfect,” Stan said referring to the magnificent set up of the lights around the compound.

Another reason to fall in love with the islands, in particular Samoa is because his partner was brought up here.

“I love the islands, I spend a lot of time in the islands, especially Rarotonga, so to come back to here Samoa, my partner was brought up in Samoa so it’s beautiful.

“And to see this incredible stuff, the lights, I don’t even see this in Australia or New Zealand. Honestly this is grand. We love Samoa, and we are just grateful to be here.”
