According to the diplomat, the funding support from the Chinese Embassy will go towards funding and assisting families in villages access clean drinking water.

“The Chinese Embassy is happy to provide assistance to the WICC (Women in Climate Change). This assistance is for helping some families in the village, because I was told by my friends of WICC that there are some women in the village their family have some difficulty for drinking water.

“So the China Embassy provide the assistance to these women for buying water tanks we asked help from the WICC. They helped us select twenty families in the village, so I hope this assistance can help these 20 families for solving the problem of drinking water. So this is a Christmas gift to all my friends in the villages.”

Speaking on behalf of the network, Su’a Julia Wallwork said the women express their sincere gratitude to the Ambassador and the government of China, for the financial support and for reaching out to families in need of drinking water.
