Flat tyre blamed for water truck crash
A flat tyre has been blamed for an incident where a water truck owned by a local company ended up in the bush after damaging the fence and gate of a family home at Vaitele-uta on Monday.
Home owner Poasa Lilo told the Samoa Observer he was about to ask for $5,000 compensation but decided against it.
"That was what I thought at first but when I came to realise the driver was in shock, and understand that it could happen to anybody," he said. "So I just asked them to just fix my fence without compensation."
The driver, who couldn't identify himself as he was still in a state of shock, said the Owner of the company will fix the fence and remove the truck from the bushes.
