First time visitor says Samoa needs more exposure

A tourist, Chris Harvey, who is staying at Taumesina Island Resort offered a friendly tip to grow the tourism industry.

While he says Samoa is a beautiful country, it needs to be advertised more so people can find out about it.

“Samoa is very quiet," he said. "There are not so many people around so I think Samoa needs more advertising to get people to see the beautiful Samoa."

Crucially, he added that Samoa is a very beautiful country and the location was just perfect for a first timer like him.

Mr. Harvey is in Samoa for work and despite his work, he is proud that he gets to experience Samoa and her people.

“The people are very friendly and I have met some of them during work here in Samoa,” he said.

“We drove with my friend around the whole island yesterday and we’re only here for two nights.”

He loves Samoan dancing.

“I think so many people should travel to Samoa just to see the natural beauty, the fine culture and meet the friendly people.”

Mr. Harvey has also enjoyed the weather. He said he prefers warm weather as opposed to New Zealand's temperatures which at times can be quite unforgiving.

“The Samoan climate is just perfect for a holiday”

He is looking forward to bringing his partner over to Samoa to share the experience.

“I will love to bring my partner next time for sure, to have a look at this beautiful location I just learned about”

Getting back to his point about Samoa needing more exposure, he said not many people know about what Samoa has to offer, which is why they are not here. He said this needs to change if Samoa is to benefit from the tourism industry.

He also visited To Sua trench while he said it was stunning, he admitted that it needs a lot of work to make it better and safer.

Chris saved his last comments for Taumesina island Resort, which he described as fabulous.
