Magik FM has secured a win in the Powerade Business House Tri Series.

They won Race 3 at Mulinu’u on Monday night, in convincing style. It was achieved with super subs Lachie Wilhelm and his partner Maddie McGann who helped out when regular team members were not available.

Lachie and Maddie were superb. On the bike, Lachie easily completed the required two laps of Mulinu’u before others completed one lap. Then Maddie took over with a well-balanced and fast run.

Ford Samoa finished one minute behind and Apia Concrete Products maintained another consistent performance to finish third.

Vailima moved up a couple of spots from last week to finish in fourth place.

Followed by the Australian High Commission team and the much improved, this week, team of U.S. Peace Corps.

Last week they were last, and this week, they are not.

TV3 and Air NZ were steady performers. The new team from the Ministry of Revenue – Team Pay Your Tax brought up the rear.

Leading the overall Series is Ford Samoa, by a single point over Apia Concrete Products. Magik is third and close rival Vailima is fourth overall.

The competition has one more Race to go, next week on Tuesday 29th. The Series was designed to introduce new people to Triathlon, and in time before the end of Daylight Saving.
