Business Systems Limited (B.S.L) hosted the latest Samoa Chamber of Commerce members’ meeting on Monday.

Marketing Manager, Nixon Mataia, and Business Manager, Nigel Stowers, briefly presented on relevant services and incentives that are currently offered by Business Systems for Samoa, including their All Year Back to School Promotions and Nobesity as well as Scholarship programs.

Mr. Mataia explained that Business Systems makes it a priority to support the education of Samoan Children all year round, and encouraged the business community to come and sample its many products and services which would help build its businesses at very affordable prices.

There was a special presentation by the E.P.C Project Manager, Fonoti Perelini, which touched on current issues faced by both the private and public sector particularly on the cost of utilities.

Fonoti also spoke about the possibility of self-generation of electricity by businesses and companies and the breakdown of what constitutes the 3 tariff components of debt charge, usage charge and energy charge.

One of the prominent issues discussed was the progress and the feasibility of government’s goal for Samoa to be on 100% Renewable Energy by 2017.

Fonoti said E.P.C is working towards achieving this goal and that it will be achieved once all Renewable Energy projects are completed.
