If water is life, we need some please!

Having no money is fine, but living without water is a very different story.

This is because water is life and without water, we cannot survive.

That sums up the opinion of a 60-year-old father from the village of Aleisa.

He is Fa’asuamalie Fa’asoloviti.

Fa’asuamalie lives with his family in the part of Aleisa called Aleisa-Uta, far from the main road.

He said his family is one of the many families living around this area suffering from the lack of water supply.

“This is not a new problem,” he told the Village Voice.

“The only people who are enjoying good water supply are the ones living near the main road of our village (Aleisa).

“But for us, we always struggle to look for water.”

The 60-year-old father understands the importance of having access to good water.

“This is one of the basic necessities in life,” he said.

“We need water when we do our chores, we need it for drinking, cooking, laundry and other things.

“For me, it is very unfair how most people are enjoying good supply of water while others are struggling.”

Said Fa’asuamalie, he is hoping that they will have access to water supply anytime soon.

“Like I mentioned before, my family is not the only family struggling because of this problem.

“And we really need to have access to good and clean water like others.”

Moreover, Fa’asuamalie said he is now looking for a water tank so his family can store water.

“We really need good access to water supply.

“We’ve been suffering far too long because of water problems and we really need help.”
