No foul play in the death of one year old

Police ruled out any foul play with regard to the death of a one-year-old boy who was burnt to death at his home in Lauli’i last month.
Police Spokesperson Su’a Muliaga Tiumalu said investigations have been completed and there was no foul play involved.
“We cannot charge the mother of the one year old because she trusted the deceased’s father and an 11 year old to look after their child,” he said.
“There is also no proof pointing to any involvement of the 11 year old in the fire.
“So investigations are complete and that case is closed.
“The family has already accepted the outcome of the investigations and the deceased has been buried.”
