Meet Tasi Maofilo, 23, from the village of Magiagi.

Speaking to the Village Voice yesterday, Tasi said he’s desperate for a job.

“It’s not easy to find a job,” he said.

“We are at a time where you are required to have a certification to have a good job.

“I have been looking for a job for such a long time and I’m still looking.

“I want to help my family and that is why I need a job.

“Honestly, I am at a point where I just need any job that’s available. I promise to put my whole mind and efforts into doing that job.”

Tasi said that it’s not easy to look for a job these days, so if you’re not someone who’s willing to go the extra mile to search then you will never find a good job.

“I know some people think they are too good for other jobs and they end up not taking it but that should’ve have been me because I need it more than them.

“Life is not that simple anymore, if you don’t grab any opportunities, you’re going to miss out what’s coming from those opportunities.”

Tasi went on to say that he’s one of the many youth members that are praying for a better future and that is why he wants to start already with whatever job that’s available for him.

“I don’t mind starting from something small because it takes time for big things to happen to a person.

“I need a job to help my family become successful with their goals.

“I don’t want to live a lifetime depending on them forever.”

Tasi said he will take any job offers that he is qualified for and he will perform to the best of his abilities.

“I believe one has to be honest and patient in doing a job, I assure you that I am that kind of person.”
