Love what you do in your life because that will lead you to many great things.

That’s the opinion of Iosefo Tuivanu from Nuu-Fou

Speaking to the Village Voice yesterday, he believes loving your family opens the door blessings.

“I love my family more than anything in this world,” he told Village Voice

“I finished my school in 2014, then I decided to help my family especially my father with his job as a carpenter.”

The 18-year-old has four siblings. He is the eldest.

He said his father is a hard working carpenter who has set an example for him to follow.

“I decided to help my father with his work, that’s why I quit school,” he said.

“Someday we have not enough money to provide for what is needed such as food, water and electricity and the family fa’alavelave,” he said.

“He earns $450tala in two weeks if the job is done well but if not he’ll receive only $250tala which is not enough.”

They also have a plantation to fall back on.

“Sometimes I feel sorry for my parents. The struggles they go through and the sacrifice they make because of their love for us. I see them doing their best day and night to give us the best in life.”

And he wants to emulate the example set by his parents.

“My father is my role model,” he said. “He works hard every day.

“He even has the energy to work the plantation so that we don’t starve. I hope someday I will become a carpenter just like him.”
