The Apia Rugby Union is extremely grateful to Samoa Beverage Company Limited, namely Taula Samoa.

On Friday, the Union accepted a cheque of $25,600 from the company to help with its plans.

The General Manager, Enele Westerlund, presented the cheque to the Apia Rugby Union Vice-President Fata Pito Malifa and Treasurer, Taulapapa Tafa’i Toilolo.

Mr. Westerlund said the money is a way for the company to give back to the community and help develop rugby in Samoa.

“This sponsorship is very important to us,” he said.

“The Apia Rugby Union Tournament has always exceeded expectations. Their track record and performances shine through and needs no explanation.”

Mr. Westerlund vowed for Taula Beverages to support the Apia Rugby Union.

“From here, we wish the newly named Taula Apia Rugby Union all the best with the 2017 games and we look forward to working together.”

Fata thanked Taula on behalf of the President and the Committee for the donation.

“On behalf of the President and the Committee of the Taula Apia Rugby Union. we want to take this moment to thank the Taula Samoa General Manager and the staff as well as their family for supporting the Union from the start up until now.

“This is a huge donation and this is not the first time for Taula to donate to our Union.”
