The family of Fa’alogo at Siumu celebrated not one but five 21st birthdays on Friday evening.

The birthdays belonged to Seepa Paiaaua, Paulo Paulo, Norman Faalogo, Falaniko Tupuola and Sanele Falaniko.

Paulo Paulo, who is based in Japan, said seven of them were initially meant to celebrate together. However, two others couldn’t make it.

“All of our birthdays fall on different months, the last one whose birthday falls on the 31st of December is Norman Fa’alogo,” he said.

“We are all cousins and because our 21st birthdays fall on the same year which was last year our family decided to have one big celebration.”

The celebration started on Thursday with a mass at the Catholic Church at Siumu.

“The mass was a ceremony to thank God for all that He had done for us and for bringing us this far.”

“So today it’s just a family gathering where we all come together to celebrate 21 years of God’s unconditional love on us and for bringing us together.”

Mr. Paulo went on to say that the day will be forever a memorable day for all of them.

“We are all based in different countries but this celebration has brought us together and we will always remember this day forever.”

“We want to thank our parents especially for their love and support, our families as well for this great celebration and for allowing us to have a drink.”

“Family is all we got and here at home is where we will always come together no matter where life takes us.”
