The Young Women’s Christian Association (Y.W.C.A.) launched a tool to encourage leadership and economic empowerment at the beginning of the week.

The Global Rise Up Training Guide was launched at the National University of Samoa (N.U.S.).

As part of the guide, a training for trainers involving 20 young women leaders from Falealili, Fusi-Safata, Vaivase-tai, Magiagi, Fagalii, Falealupo and Sapapalii is also underway.

The participants are locally established partners of Y.W.C.A. Samoa.

The sessions are delving into different issues including sexual and reproductive health, menstruation, family planning, self-esteem and body image, human rights, cyber bullying, peace and security, climate change and traditions and values.

In the past two weeks the local professional and experts trained the participants guided by the training manual at different location.
