Meet Arieta Felise.

The 22-year-old from Faleula and Faleasi’u is looking for a job so she could raise her son and help her family.

The mother of one stays home to do the washing and clean their house.

She lives with her father and her siblings.

Her husband is working in New Zealand to earn money for their family while she lives in Samoa with her son.

“My father runs a lawn mower business for all of us. So no one does the work for our family, my father is the only one providing for us all,” she told Village Voice.

“I moved to Samoa because of some difficulties in the past but as of now I am looking for a job to help my father.”

She wouldn’t elaborate on what those difficulties are.

But she said she understands that finding a job is not easy.

“Life nowadays is not easy anymore just as it is hard to find a job,” she said.

“If you don’t work hard and be smart you won’t earn anything in this life.

“We see the struggle that our parents go through every day just for us to have a good life. It makes me want to work to help them.”

Arieta said her husband sends money now and then.

But it’s not enough.

This is why she is keen to work. Anywhere.

Arieta can be contacted on telephone 7203702.
