“I want to become a teacher in the future; I desire to become a teacher because I would like to give back to my community the education that has been bestowed upon me.

“To be honest, my thoughts of becoming a teacher became increasingly clearer daily because I love to work with my other siblings and children at my village.

“I mean I connect to them that well and I think teaching is part of my family’s heritage because most of my family have been teachers.

“Personally, I feel teaching is the profession for me as well and so I have to study hard to accomplish it.

“And also, I will strive to help the individual students develop their skills in so many ways so that they could give to the community when they’re grow up.”

Mother, Serafi Ah Hao said: “It’s a good achievement and we’re happy to be supporting her through her years of school.

“The achievement didn’t come as a surprise because we kept on telling her that she needs to do well for her tertiary education.”

Ms. Ah Hao thanked the teachers, students, parents and Samatau village for their support.
