Bank South Pacific Samoa staff members came together as One Team and partner with Ministry of Natural Resources (M.N.R.E.) to contribute to the Two Million Trees Campaign on Thursday at Mount Vaea sight.

The M.N.R.E. theme for this campaign is “Save a life by planting a tree.”

B.S.P. has decided to save lives and planted 500 trees as part of this campaign.

This is part of B.S.P’s contribution to the community of Samoa and an activity of living one of their seven values. This program goes hand in hand with their Go Green initiatives which includes their annual school clean up that happens every November.

“B.S.P. follows seven values that go hand in hand with our vision and mission. Every month we roll out one value for each department to come up with activities to ensure that our staff members are living these values. For August the value was TEAMWORK. And it was great to see our staff members enjoying the hike up at Mount Vaea Reserve and plant five hundred trees,” said General Manager Mrs Maryann Lameko-Vaai.

“B.S.P. supports the Two Million Tree Campaign because it goes hand in hand with our Go Green initiatives. And we want to commend M.N.R.E. for such a great initiative because it contributes positively to our environment. We urge our business communities to participate in this great campaign,” adds Mrs Maryann Lameko-Vaai.

“We respect and value the communities that we operate in and we want to grow together with the community by giving back to them through community projects such as these,” she added.

With a commitment to supporting the Samoan Community, B.S.P. continues to extend its helping hand in any way in order to help grow with the Samoan community.
