After five years together, Elaine Seuea Te’o Ati’ifale and Pao Afa’ese Samuelu took their relationship a step further yesterday.

The couple tied the knot in front of family and friends at the Amazing Love Christian Church, Samatau.

The 24-year-old bride is from the villages of Elise Fou, Sapo’e, Manunu, Ta’elefaga, Eva, Salesatele and Si’uniu Falelatai.

Pao, 29, hails from Samatau and Pata Falelatai.

The couple thanked everyone for their prayers and support.

The theme for their wedding was “Two Hearts that beat as One”.

“Despite all the problems and personal issues we’ve had over the years, we managed to pull through in one heart before the Lord,” said the couple.

“Five years passed and we’re grateful to God and everyone who’s always been there by us and we can positively say that a strong friendship before marriage is important.”

“Honestly, faith has brought us this far.”

“It’s not knowing God can, but knowing that God will, yes, we became friends first before we even became lovers and five years of strong friendship.”

“We finally made this decision to spend the rest of our lives side by side.” Elaine is the daughter of Fonoti To’a Te’o Atiifale and Fofoga Fa’atoese Tusitala.

The groom is the son of Lefauaitu Utouto Lefauaitu and Teleia’i Mutimuti Sali Samuelu.

The reception and traditional formalities followed at the Samoan fale at Le Papaigalagala Campus, National University of Samoa.
