David Tua misses flight, scheduled to arrive today
Former world heavyweight boxing title challenger, To’aletai David Tua, is arriving this afternoon.
One of Samoa’s favourite sons is coming for the Annie Grace Samoa Concert to be held in front of the government building this Saturday.
To’aletai was scheduled to front a press conference with Annie Tonumali’i at The Orator Hotel this morning.
However, the organisers issued a late notice last night to confirm that he had missed his flight from Auckland, New Zealand.
“We regret to inform you that unfortunately David Tua has missed his flight to Samoa,” a notice from the organisers said.
“He will be arriving tomorrow (today) at 1pm.”
The former heavyweight boxer is coming to Samoa to use his story and his life to inspire and help people who are battling depression, suicidal thoughts and other social challenges.
To’aletai and Annie were scheduled to visit inmates at Tafaigata Prison today to share their life-changing stories and tell them about how they can obtain help to fight depression and suicidal thoughts.
The concert starts at 6.30pm in front of the government building on Saturday.
