Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sa’ilele Malielegaoi has wished Samoa and the rest of the world a Merry Christmas.

“Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” he said in a festive season message, which was relayed during his weekly program with the media and recorded live on 2AP state-owned radio station.

“I want to commend the 2AP as this program started in 2010 and it has been eight years, sitting here waiting to answer controversy questions by the media.

“However what’s commendable about this is the fact that you (media) never ceases to come each day and hassle me with your question. And at the same time this is a platform for the government to respond to any predicament faced by the Government.”

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Tuilaepa’s tenure in office as Prime Minister. The milestone, which was reached last month, makes him the region’s longest serving Prime Minister and Head of Government.
