Samoa’s flag carrier, Samoa Airways, appears to have sorted out a teething problem with their boarding passes.

That’s according to Attorney General, Lemalu Hermann Retzlaff, on a Facebook post yesterday.

One of the passengers for the airline’s Apia/Sydney flight, Lemalu posted: “Nothing handwritten here - except for the kind last minute upgrade :-)

“Smooth check in yesterday Faleolo for #SamoaAirways first Apia to Sydney flight -Was a great flight - VIIA LE ALII. -----Look forward to official Samoan Community launch tonight. (PS if it had been handwritten I'm sure I would've survived that experience.”

Yesterday, the Airline’s General Manager, Seiuli Alvin Tuala, called for patience from members of the public as they try to sort out some teething problems.

Some of the boarding passes for the Airline had been handwritten which created a social media frenzy.

Samoa Airways though is not the first airline to have done it.

Many of the world’s major airlines have at some point had to hand write boarding passes due to system failures.
