Sleepwell International continues to build bridges across the bedding and mattress industry in Samoa.

As Samoa’s first bedding and mattress manufacturing company, another important milestone was achieved this week with the first foam mattress-making machine hitting Samoa’s shores at Sleepwell International.

Sleepwell International continues advocating for its vision To Be the Number 1 supplier of Quality Bedding in the Pacific Region and beyond.

It has already established some first-time-history-making milestones, from being the first local Factory for bedding and mattresses in Samoa, and now the very first to own and operate a foam mattress manufacturing machine in the country.

“This is history in the making and an essential step for Sleepwell International,” said S.S.A.B. C.E.O. Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai.

“The drive for Sleepwell International remains, with supplying our local people with employment and with the best bedding options locally. The foam mattress making machine means we can explore more affordable prices for our local market especially export opportunities.”

Sleep Well International Director, Sala George Lutu was ecstatic.

“It’s been our dream to manufacture foam mattresses in Samoa and now this dream has been realized. Not even Sleepwell New Zealand has a foam mattress making machine,” he said.

“This is the perfect opportunity for Samoa to manufacture mattresses at efficient costs, and export to the pacific region including New Zealand.”

General Manager Teleiai James Potoi said Sleepwell International is continuing its drive to align with the Government’s strategy to increase Samoa’s capacity to compete regionally with the exports of value added products.

“We are achieving this through a vertical integration of our supply chain so we continue to add value to our brand and product,” he said.

Sleepwell International prioritizes exports and continues to set their eye on exporting in the Pacific Region and around the globe.

“Export quality is what we’re aiming for,” reminded Teleiai.

The brand well and truly backs their ‘quality’ mantra with exceptional materials and production. All mattresses offer a 3-year warranty and meet New Zealand’s bedding standards and requirements. Specially made fabric and springs are used in the assembling of each mattress - for example fabric used is durable plus lent and dust-free. There is likewise specialized 3-zone-spring technology used across every spring mattress which allows customization and comfort for different body-types. Foam softness ranges from firm, medium and soft giving different segments suitable options to choose from.

“The foam mattress product range is a welcome addition to Sleepwell International’s quality spring mattresses. This gives Sleepwell an opportunity to supply both types of mattresses locally and internationally,” said Tofilau.

“We will continue to leverage our expertise and experience to bring in the latest manufacturing technologies and techniques to manufacture export quality products at affordable prices. Complement this with a highly passionate work-force, we are confident that our brand will be household names locally and regionally,” said Teleiai.

Sleepwell International launched almost a year ago in November 2017 and continues to offer the local market extensive specials on its product range only available at SSAB. Customers and members of the public can access sales now on at the S.S.A.B. MegaStore.

Exclusive specials on Sleepwell beds and mattresses will also be included in S.S.A.B.’s famous Lucky Late Bird specials this month from 6-9pm on the 26th October 2018.
