The untitled men of Salepoua’e Sale’imoa spearheaded their Good Friday celebration with a special programme.

In doing so, the village joined thousands of Christians across the nation to remember the day when Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross for the sins of the world.

More than hundred men took part in this year’s programme.

They were divided into four groups where they performed skits based on the theme “New life – Ola Fou.”

“This is the first time they’ve had this,” High chief, Luatua Semi said.

“To us, this is a good way to take our minds off all the normal chores everyday but to come together and experience and feel what Christ has done to save everyone."

“This is all about coming together, sharing and staying in unity and peace.”

Luatua added that the Easter programme is a good reminder about the love of God for everyone.

“So much is happening nowadays but knowing that there is love that conquered the grave for us to be saved is the most exciting news for us Christians."

“Sometimes in life, when you know you’re going too far, you need to pause, breath and look up in the sky and know there is Jesus who loves us."

“That Jesus rose from the death, for us to be saved.”
