The Vaimoso Rugby Club will be one of the best looking teams on the rugby paddock this year.

It follows the launch of their brand new rugby jerseys on Friday at the Vaimoso E.F.K.S hall along with introducing their major sponsors that include Pacific Forum Line (P.F.L), HJ Keil, Loibl Motors and Business Systems Limited (B.S.L).

“Thank you to the Vaimoso boys, we appreciate this opportunity; with P.F.L we wish to support you all the way through,” Irene Elia, Sales and Marketing Manager for P.F.L, said.

“We wish you all the best for this season and in you moving forward, this sponsorship means that we will support you guys in everything you do; if you need a cheque then you will just have to come to us and say what’s needed.

“So we’re prepared to support you young boys here and continue to support our community with sport, from P.F.L we want to say ‘good luck’.” But for Letoa Wenzell Keil who represented HJ Keil, he felt that a more stern approach was needed.

“I hope this season will be great for you boys; all the companies who have their names written on your jersey have faith in you,” he said.

“If we win this season then just like Irene said ‘our helping hand won’t end here’, to the rugby boys I say this to you, listen to your coach.

“Leave the habit of drinking on Fridays and then playing on Saturday, it’s ugly, it puts down the Vaimoso name and it puts down your sponsors name.

“If you wear these jerseys then remember that you represent this village, you will be selected into the national team through this jersey.

“If you love Vaimoso then honor this gesture through good results on the field.

“The coach and the board members can only do so much, but if you don’t listen to their advice then there’s no use in this.”

With the excitement radiating from the team, they each received their new jersey with a smile on their faces.
