Yesterday was a day full of love and joy for Fa’alefu Tumutalie Foliga and Bellarose Deidrea.

In the presence of family and friends, they tied the knot, sealing their love in holy matrimony at the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa at Falefa.

Fa’alefu, who is a student at Malua Theological College, said they first met at Avele College.

And after 10 years of courtship, the couple can now look forward to starting a new journey together full of commitment and love.

Fa’alefu’s parents are Su’emalo Tumutalie Foliga and Avasa Vaialia-Tumutalie.

Bellarose from Falefa is the daughter of Su Fetuao Ta’ai and Vaega’au, she’s 26.

Fa’alefu, also 26, hails from the villages of Vaitele-Uta, Aopo and Sa’anapu. According to the groom, the joy he feels is nothing he has ever felt before.

“Right now I am just so happy that this day has finally come,” he said during an interview with the Samoa Observer.

“I give all praise and glory to God because I understand that we are nothing without him. Like many other couples, we do go through highs and lows, but without the help of God, this day wouldn’t be possible.

“I would also like to thank all those who managed to make it to today’s ceremony.

“This is the day we have been looking forward to for a long while now.”

The couple later made their way with family and friends to their reception held at E.F.K.S. Hall, Sogi.
