Rose Ah Leong faces negligent driving charge over road death

A 29-year-old woman will appear in the District Court next week, charged over the death of a seven-year-old girl who died after a traffic incident at Faleula two weeks ago.

Rose Hope Ah Leong is accused of negligent driving causing death. 

According to the Police charge fact sheet, the defendant is alleged to be the driver of a vehicle that caused the death of the girl. 

“The suspect in Faleula was the driver of a Tucson registered plate number 27509, she negligently drove such a motor vehicle on the West Coast Road and caused death to Loi Vaialofa female 7-years-old of Faleula,” stated the charge sheet. 

The defendant is out on bail. Her hearing is scheduled for October 9, 2018.
