Dei Hamo posts up in Samoa

Samoan hip hop superstar, Dei Hamo, is in the country.

The man, whose real name is Sanerivi Sagala, posted about his trip on his Facebook page last night.

He writes: “Awesome Day 1 Shooting in #Samoa with the team Kas Futialo Aaron Taouma Tatsuya Sasaki The Crossroads: Le Māgafā, Where Sāmoa meets Hip Hop 1 down, 3 more to go. Much love to all our supporters who've helped us make this happen.”

How long Dei Hamo is in Samoa for could not be confirmed but the Samoa Observer understands he is performing this weekend.

Dei Hamo is a hip-hop artist, producer and director. He has won various awards for his chart-topping music and his first album First Edition, released in 2005.

He has supported a number of international acts including The Black Eyed Peas and Busta Rhymes. 

Dei Hamo went to Aorere College, Papatoetoe in the late 1980s where he was first exposed to the hip-hop genre.
