Rational thinking and good governance
Re: P.M. blames bus drivers
It is the habit of your love the P.M. to try to make others responsible for what he himself should be responsible for.
This is just another example of him doing this.
It is his responsibility as the minister of police and the P.M. to enforce laws that he creates that will protect passengers on the bus.
It is not the responsibility of passengers to decide what is safe and what isn’t and then try to enforce what they believe is unsafe while a bus driver is driving a bus full of passengers.
I am living on the planet of rational thinking that believes in good governance and transparency.
As for Tony’s take on the issue, I disagree. I think it would cause a danger if people were encouraged to chastise a driver while they are trying to drive a bus. The unsafe bus situation falls square on the L.T.A and the P.M. to fix.
Whether that is to create strict licensing policies, a zero tolerance for any driver caught with alcohol and immediate suspensions for speeding or recklessness. The police should be instructed to watch for these bad drivers and arrest them on the spot.
The safety of the passengers on these buses is the responsibility of the authorities and in no way should this responsibility be passed on to the people. The P.M. has a habit of pointing fingers at others when he should be pointing those fingers at himself.
So we disagree on this one Tony.
