I’d rather be poor with my integrity intact

Dear Editor,

Well put Tagi Ale Mativa and kudos to Wendy for your awesome rebuttal to counter PS Jeffery’s ideology.

Your assertion in this matter is spot on.

I would rather live like a mativa man with my dignity still intact than living under any outside control with no land.

Imperialism comes in all different forms, they first Christianise us calling us savage to justify their bringing us some fiction to chew on (Religion) and setting up governments and systems that will benefit them in the long run, while their banking institutions are busy working behind the scene striking deals with leaders of the indigenous people who are sellouts to benefit themselves at the expense of the majority.

Look around the world and see what they did.

They bankrupt nations by knowingly loaning them money that they cannot afford to pay back then they will use their land as collateral for these loans.

The Samoan Matai system is suffice enough to govern our own affairs.

The real democracy with unanimous consent of the peoples representation.

Not the 51 to 49 in the European deceptive democracy.
