Stench of corruption

Re: Samoa and independence

Fifty five years since Independence and still the simple utilities of electricity and water cannot be provided to all of the people.

Samoa has made huge gains in knowledge in setting up a tax haven, generating hidden profits, and yet failed to adopt basic accounting methods designed to prevent corruption.

Those people, who profit from corruption will always be locked in party mode, as the dirty money flows endlessly soiling their souls.

I have no envy of their fun, however we need only look at the suffering children, the neglected Health and Education sectors to see the price being paid for that fun.

Zero transparency, a lack of accountability and wicked governance are plain to see every day of the year.

No matter how many false stories are written, the stench of corruption fouls every public place.
