Where will we be 50 years from now?

Dear Editor,

Re: P.M. rubbishes China claims

Very well presented.

I watched events back home with anxiety and stress knowing that those responsible for empowering any political party to form a government, our matai, lack the basic education to understand world affairs evolving around them daily.

There is credible evidence that the government is using our land as collateral and are keeping this on the low, low.

But so far only a few are making noises while the rest either don’t care and just don’t understand how his land can end up in Chinese hands from these loans. The Chinese know who we are, our value and our role in the Polynesian community.

Our acceptance of them automatically brings everyone else on board and that’s what I believe is what they after as you believe yourself.

The control of the South Pacific shipping lanes is important to China, and a long-term project for them.

I am so worried about where we will be in 50 years from now.
