They can afford tax
Re: Church and govt. tax
I agree with BenV's comments.
Put the government’s accountability on other issues aside, and lets look at this particular matter for what it is.
In all fairness, Faifeau's should pay tax. Why?
Because they also use the same infrastructure and/or services that are currently funded in part by other taxpayers. For example, the roads their nice cars travel on. The electricity lines, and other public services available to them.
Yes they may not be much, but the finances have to come from somewhere, and reliance on aid money isn't the way to go.
Ministers are humans just like every other citizen not holy, high, and mighty.
If they want others, especially their followers to prosper, then they should be an example.
Not happily receive numerous gifts and donations but don't want to give. Growing up in the village, the faifeau's kids, especially EFKS ministers, are usually more privileged.
They go to good schools, have time to study, and most end up with scholarships. Meanwhile, Joe blogs kids drop out of school. The moral of my story is, E.F.K.S. ministers can afford to pay tax.
