Time to sack Sir Gordon Tietjens!

Dear Editor,

Samoan rugby is woeful. So I say sack Sir Gordon. He is a foreigner like his predecessor.

That makes him an easy target and scapegoat.

And how the Samoa Rugby Union needs a scapegoat! We can’t blame the Prime Minister as some people -most likely Muslims - are doing. He says he was appointed by God. And he never lies.

We can’t blame the rugby officials either. They are Christians. New Zealanders are not Christians, or at least don’t claim to be like we do to any one that will listen.

So I say sack Sir Gordon.

And if he tries to sue us in the courts, they are our courts and soon will be under our all-powerful Prime Minister’s control like everything else in Samoa.

If Trump can do it, we can do it better. By the way, who could have possibly imagined that the greatest democracy in the world – the shining city on the hill - could be brought down so low and into such a dark hole?

Trump did.

But that’s Uncle Sam’s problem, and most likely ours too when climate change turns out to be real and not a Chinese hoax.

But let’s fix our rugby woefulness first by sacking Sir Gordon. Then we can bring teams who want a holiday to play rugby here. That way, we can watch rugby and listen to our Prime Minister talk about how to play and not win at rugby.

Sack Sir Gordon

(He’d probably jump at the chance to escape)
