Black Plastic: On Point.

It might have all gone unnoticed if it had been a ‘Trash to Fashion’ show.

But our reporter was past caring when it bucketed down poolside on Saturday night at the finale of Fashion Week.

She was after her story and photos of the event at the Hotel Tanoa Tusitala and nothing, and I mean nothing, not rain, extra lighting (lightning) nor sound effects (thunder) was going to stop our very own Lois Lane.

Concerned about her very expensive camera, she had no qualms about donning a stylish, black, plastic, rubbish liner provided by the helpful, hotel staff.

All was going well and she felt she was blending in quite unobtrusively until she became aware that she was becoming the subject of other people’s photography and likely to be starring on YouTube or facebook before she even posted her story.

It’s tricky when you want to WRITE the story not BE the story.
