Privatise Samoa Airways? Tuilaepa's plea

The opposition leader and former Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi, has urged the Government to reconsider plans to break a lease on a Samoa Airways plane, even suggesting that capital raised from shareholders could solve the airline’s financial woes. 

The Government’s dry lease deal for a new Boeing 737-800  was sealed under Tuilaepa’s former administration with European company Fly Aircraft Holdings Eighteen Limited.
