Lolesio Pereura has a positive outlook on life.

The 33-year-old says that when things are done right at home, everything should just fall into place elsewhere.

He explains that when children are brought up right, Samoa will have a bright future because those children will grow up to lead.

The father of three from Moata’a works hard to ensure his children succeed.

“My wife also works for our basic needs but I make sure we have enough to go by every day. Our children are our first priority,” Lolesio told the Village Voice.

“My wife is a house girl for one family not far from our house and I also work to support our family. We work hard because we don’t want to see my children starve.

“The cost of living nowadays has gotten to the point where we hardly find space to breathe. This is just too much for us.”

Lolesio said there is a dire need for more jobs that pay well.

“Many families are suffering but they are doing their best,” he said.

Their family is no exception.

“Our three children are in school and that’s the most important thing.

“We all know that raising just one child is very expensive nowadays but we have to keep on believing in ourselves.

“That’s why I try to work as hard as I can to make ends meet with my family.”

Lolesio is lucky his wife is helping him.

“Hard work is all that matters in this life,” he said.
