A perfect family destination

Samoa is the perfect family getaway destination.

Lisa Hinz from Taranaki, New Zealand, knows this very well.

The mother of two girls, Mia and Aria Hinz, were found by the Dear Tourist team by the poolside at the Taumeasina Island Resort painting their sarong.

Lisa says Samoa has offered them a chance to strengthen their bond as a family.

They have been to Fiji, Rarotonga and most of the Pacific Island but for Mia, she definitely wants to return to Samoa.

“We have heard about Samoa through my parents that were here. They told us about their trip and we wanted to see it for ourselves,” she shared with the Dear Tourist team.

“It is a really nice place despite how hot it is. I just cannot seem to get the girls out of the pool. They love swimming in the sun.”

“We have done snorkelling and swimming. The sea temperature is not the same as where we come from because it is cold there.”

“This is a good time to have a break and just spend some time with the kids,” said Lisa.

Samoa was definitely what she has been searching for.

“It is very relaxing here. People are just so laid back and very outgoing. I like the fact that there are activities for the kids and something to do.”

“Even though it is just painting a sarong, it relates to the Samoan people and who they are. It may seem small but it broadens the understanding of the girls in learning more about different countries and their cultures,” Lisa adds.

“We have nothing to complain about, this was a stress-free trip. It was good, everything was good. Every time we wanted to go somewhere and we would ask people here at the hotel, they would help us beyond measures.”

“They would recommend certain places to go to, providing rental cars which make our stay simple and no hassle of having to search for places and things like that.”

“All of the things that the people have done, we appreciate it very much.”
