Regardless of the Manu Samoa team loss to the Flying Fijians, supporters at Apia Park yesterday still have faith in the team with some tips for the future.

Louis Tyrell from Auckland New Zealand said that we still have a great team.

“I am happy and grateful to the coach and the management and also the players for all their hard work and effort they’ve put in for the test against Fiji today.” Louis said.

“My wife and I are here for two weeks, and watching the game against Fiji on our own soil is something that I’m proud of."

“But for the Manu Samoa game against Fiji, we all know that it’s a lot of pressure on them as the whole country expects them to win every time they play against other teams."

“But, something that our people have to remember is that we do not always succeed every time we try, be mindful that Fiji is also praying for their team as well."

“For today, we have to accept it, they did their best and they made us proud and happy and that was the most important thing and we have to accept the result."

“Thanks for the good game today Manu!"

Sixty-five year old father, Leota Tapuali’i from Leonē said that a good mindset is something our team needs to work on.

“It seems like they played but they didn’t know what they were doing, I’m not sure if they were losing interest during the game."

“But, I really appreciate the hard work of our players and coach they have put in to represent our country in rugby."

“To be honest, I have lots of expectations of our team to become champions at the World Cup before I die, but it’s all right because it’s not easy."

“To our supporters in Samoa and around the world, have patience and remember that we are not the only team who wants to win, I mean the Fiji team was in it to win it as well."

“Samoa is known in the world - ta’alo fa’atausala’, that means when we win, we celebrate and when we lose, we also celebrate."

“For today we have to accept the outcome and be happy about it."

Rachel McGrath from Toāmua reminded fans that ‘it’s not the end of the world.'

“Just because they didn’t win this time, doesn’t mean that we have to hate them for that."

“They’ve been training and trying their best to represent our country in rugby."

“Our people need to turn off that kind of mindset of pointing fingers at others but let’s give them the support they need."

“For me, win or lose, I am still a fan of our team and I will still support them....a big fa’amalo to our team for the great effort that they have put in the game."

“I still believe that they will become a better team, Go Manu, we still love you.”
