Parties must respect courts: Pacific lawyers

The South Pacific Lawyers Association has urged political parties to respect the judicial process and abide by Court decisions accordingly, saying the political pressure placed upon the bench is a concern.

The Association, which was formerly the South Pacific Bars Secretariat, expressed its concerns in a public statement reminding the Government and institutions involved to refrain from any "inappropriate" or "unwarranted" interruption of the judicial process.
