Liam Black and his family are happy to finally be in Samoa.

“We have always wanted to come,” Mr. Black said to Dear Tourist team.

Mr. Black is in Samoa with his wife and three children, including his father-in-law. He has always been meaning to visit the islands since observing the construction of the Taumesina Island Resort.

“A friend of mine is a manager for Taumesina Island Resort and I’ve been watching it being built on Facebook and we have always wanted to come and finally, we were able to save up for it and here we are,” Mr. Black said.

He is a Samoan food lover and he can’t get over the traditional palusami and octopus dishes.

“I really love how they cooked the octopus, it was very well cooked and even the palusami has the nicest of tastes,” he said.

“I have also tried breadfruit with my family and it was also pretty good. In terms of ways to improve Samoa, I think there’s not much needed to do, I mean you got it all handled pretty well.”

“I cannot see how you can improve anything since everything has been done pretty good. Everyone’s friendly and very easy to come forward and talk to, lovely people and lovely place.”

“Even the Flea-Market was pretty awesome and a lot of stuff to buy.”

Mr. Black also said as part of the tour, they will be visiting the food market, which he and his family are looking forward to, to buy fresh food.

“We’re hoping to go to the Piula Cave Pool for a swim and site seeing, and then to the Marine Reserves to see some turtles.”

“We can’t wait for Thursday to come so we could get to the other side of the island to explore.”

Mr. Black said he is sure to return with his family.
