Magele Sekati Fiaui's victory during the General Elections may be the biggest upset yet, as the youngest of the candidates managed to edge out veteran Member of Parliament, Gatoloaifa'ana Amataga Gidlow by a substantial number of votes.

At 35-years-old, Magele, flying the colours of the Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (F.A.S.T.) party, bested the daughter of the late Prime Minister Tofilau Eti Alesana who has occupied the now-Faasaleleaga No.2 seat for three consecutive Parliamentary terms.
