Police are investigating an electoral committee member alleged to have influenced voters' pre-poll ballots in favour of a certain candidate after the electoral commission noticed suspicious activity.

The Samoa Police Service Deputy Commissioner, Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti, confirmed the investigation on Friday while speaking at a Pacific Media Assistance Scheme (P.A.C.M.A.S.) election training event.
