Children spending Christmas at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital were treated to an unexpected visit from Santa Claus on Thursday, the day before Christmas.

Santa visited as part of a project to donate gift of toys and books spearheaded by charity organisation, Faith Angels Foundation.

A group of representatives from the Foundation made a special visit to the Motootua hospital on Christmas Eve with the hope of bringing joy to the heart’s of all the sick children admitted.

The visit was also made extra special with American missionary, Jim Wiese from the World Missions who dressed as Santa Claus with a big bag of Christmas gifts.

The President of Faith Angels Foundation, Clara Ah Kuoi, said it is always a blessing to visit the children at Moto'otua especially at this time of the year. She also confirmed that more than ten children were gifted with presents all for the spirit of Christmas.

However, most importantly in the Bible, according to Isaiah 7:14, it states that “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

The Foundation also acknowledged all their donors, Sam and the team at TRADEPC Samoa, Bruce and Naomi Leiataua and the team at Tanoa Samoa, Vodafone, and to a very special family who bought toys and books for their gift bags, Daniel and Taryn Tait.

“You have blessed our children tremendously. We appreciate all you have donated for our children.

“It was such a blessing to see them smile especially today.”

I’m addition, the Foundation also thanked all its volunteers for coming out to help distribute and pray for our children.

“A big thank you to Jim and Mindy Wiese of World Missions. It is a blessing to have a praying Santa.

“Merry Christmas Samoa and to all our prayer partners around the world.

"’Isaiah 9:6 states, For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
