Bad weather knocks out Sevens trials

The heavy rain and bad weather has knocked out the Lakapi Samoa's National Sevens trials scheduled for this weekend. A new date has yet to be confirmed for next year.

"Due to our current weather situations we are facing, we regret to inform you all that our National Sevens trials schedule for the 17th and 18th now postpone to 2021. We will keep you posted of our new dates," an announcement said.

Both the men's and women's trials have been cancelled.

The women's teams were all confirmed though.

The Taema team is made up of  Saelua Seleti, Fogamanono Sila, Litia Nuu, Tiffany Tanuvasa, Oketopa Faafua, Fuatele Toso, Fiavae Laititi, Linda Fiafia, Sydney Pelenato, Fofoga Vaa, Faye Sinei, Maria Iosefo, and Fetuleni Fagalilo. Their head coach is Seifono Misili and their manager is Sam Ah Sam.

Tilafaiga includes is Perise Tumutumu, Charity Leiataua, Marelda Collins, Rebirth Paulo, Pearl Silipa, Fuarosa Niusila, Marie Kaisa, Faalua Lefulefu, Elisapeta Leti, Faaoge Tanielu, Afioga Opapo, Mariota Fiu, and Maria Tomasi. Their head coach is Soonalote Sefo and their manager is Tui Unasa.

Nafanua is made up of Lomi Mulipola, Arasi Ieremia, Alofa Sopoaga, Opeta Toala, Dee Matai, Utumoa Alalatoa, Suliando Lafai, Ruhama Leiataua, Luana Alefosio, Inalei Laulu, Cynthia Faalogo, Pe'a Asiasiga, and Rosalia Siaki.
