Samatau man drowned: doctor
A medical examination into the death of a 23-year-old male, of Samatau, has found that he died from drowning.
The evidence was presented before the Coronial Court during the inquest into the death of Faaolataga Tuaoi who died in July this year.
Dr. Agape Amituanai tendered the medical report before Coroner and District Court Judge, Alalatoa Rosella Viane-Papali'i.
The doctor told the Coroner that the deceased arrived at the Moto’otua national hospital without any external injuries.
“I am satisfied that the cause of death was drowning,” she said.
The Coroner has reserved her decision into the inquest of the 23-year-old male.
According to the mother of Fa’aolataga, Vitolina Tuaoi Leituala, her son had gone fishing with her other relatives in July this year when the incident occurred.
He was the eldest of 11 children of Vitolina and Tuaoi Fa'aliga Leituala.
Faaolataga was an active churchgoer, who attended the Ekalesia Faapotopotoga Kerisiano Samoa Samatau.
