Wallabies prop Samoa tourism Ambassador

The Samoa Tourism Authority has added one more famous celebrity to tell the world about beautiful Samoa.

And Wallabies prop, Scott Sio, has embraced his role a s a Brand Ambassador for the Samoa Tourism Authority (S.T.A.).

The announcement was made by the S.T.A on Thursday in a social media post. 


The S.T.A. statement said: “Talofa beautiful followers! We are excited to announce that Wallabies prop Scott Sio is joining the Samoa Tourism family as a brand ambassador.

“Scott always keeps his Samoan roots and family close to his heart and recognises the Pacific island influence on Australian rugby.

“We look forward to doing great things with Scott as we show our #beautifulsamoa to the world.”


In an Instagram post by Mr. Sio, he explained that he is happy to have joined the S.T.A. and to take on the job of promoting how beautiful Samoa is.

“[I am] excited to be on board with Samoa Tourism to help promote and show how beautiful Samoa is,” he said. 

“[I will be] looking forward to working together in the hope of you all discovering what Samoa has to offer.”

The Samoan Australian Wallabies prop is the son of Tavita Sio who played for the Manu Samoa in the 1991 Rugby World Cup.

Sio also plays for the Brumbies in Super Rugby and made his debut during the 2012 Super Rugby season. He was named in the Wallabies’ 31-man squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
